Abstract
In this paper, the design process of structure optimization with ANSYS software is discussed. The author develops programs with ANSYS parametric design language, and put it to use 12-bar plane truss and light portal frame structure optimization. Comparisons between original design and ANSYS optimum results show that the approach proposed in this paper is effective and feasible.
