Abstract

In accordance with the design and specification requirements for Wuhan-Guangzhou Passenger Dedicated Railway, the construction quality control of the continuous box girder of Huadi River Bridge with a main span 128 m on the Railway was carried out.The contents of the control included the geometric shape, stress and temperatures of the girder and the results of the control showed that the closure of the girder at the time of stable temperature variation at 0:00~5:00 in a day was advantageous to reducing the temperature load of the girder. The geometric shape of the main girder was smooth, the elevation difference of the closure segment of the central span, the axis difference of the overall bridge and the measured geometric shape of the completed bridge after the bridge was closed were all within the allowable error of the design. The measured values of the sectional stress of the main girder were agreeable with those of the calculation and the sectional stress of the girder met the anticipated quality control target.
