Abstract

The yield from tuna purse seine accounts for 70% of world total tuna catch, and tuna purse seine fishery will be developed with bright prospects. Based on the tuna purse seine practice in Central Western Pacific, the authors analyze the fishing techniques of tuna purse seine, and discuss some problems in developing this project.
