Progress in Studies of Vegetation Succession in Typical Coastal Wetlands

Wetland vegetation is an major part of the coastal wetland ecosystem,and plays an important role in the coastal wetland ecological functions.Based on analysis of the environmental features of different coastal wetlands,the present status and trends of researches on the coastal wetland vegetation succession were reviewed from the aspects of species composition,spatial distribution,succession characteristics and the main influencing factors.Further studies in vegetation succession and ecological restoration,vegetation succession in response to global climate change were proposed.
