Experimental Study on Effect of Chemical Fire Extinguishment Additives

Abstract

This article studies on fire extinguishment mechanism and capability of chemical fire extinguishment additives by doing many experimentations and referring to a large amount of foreign relevant datum. The studied objects are divided into two kinds: One is water-soluble salts of alkali melts, mainly studies on the fire extinguishment effect when being added to water mist used as chemical additives. And at the same time, the application of its new system is design to use non-water-soluble liquid-state chemical matters as additives. The other is high effective chemical fire extinguishment matter containing Fe、 Zn、Mn, studying on their extinguishment effect when being added to inert gases such as CO2、N2 used as chemical additives. Through experiment this article pays much attention to discussing the best ratio of chemical fire extinguishment additives and their limitation as well as the ways improving their effects; and also discuss the interactive relationship among different kinds of fire extinguishment ahents. It founds strong theoretical basis for making new, economical and high effective fire extinguishment agents.
