Abstract
The study area was selected Jinghe and its 7 subwatersheds in the middle of Loess Plateau.Using the runoff and sediment data of 8 hydrological stations from 1971~2003 and the precipitation data in this area from 1971~2000,classified MODIS data of 2002,all of these were analyzed runoff and sediment variation of watersheds and its land cover feature.Results show that sediment yield decrease slightly but runoff yield increase obviously of Jinghe watershed nearly 50 years;The visible difference of runoff yield and sediment yield and land cover pattern were found in this area;The better land cover of watershed has higher runoff yield and lower sediment yield,and fluctuant small of runoff yield and sediment yield;Contrarily,the worse land cover of watershed has lower runoff yield and higher sediment yield,and fluctuant large of runoff yield and sediment yield.
