Abstract
Under the specific conditions of the early days of the War of Resistance Against Japan,the Kuomintang and the Communist Party of China achieved a relatively close cooperation.In Shanxi, the Communist Party of China and the local warlord Yan Xishan built a special form of united front with Shanxi characteristic on the basis of the cooperation of the two parties. The Communist Party of China carried out a correct policy,enabling itself to utilize these legitimate organizations to expand the revolutionary forces continuously and to win over and unite any progressive forces that could possibly be united,and thus created a new situation of the War of Resistance Against Japan in Shanxi.
