Abstract
Compared with forging die steel, the cast die steel has higher strength, higher red hardness, lower crack sensibility and higher resistance to thermal fatigue. A lot of oversea and domestic researches was done on the cast hot work die steel. The new cast hot work die steel (CHD steel) has high strength and toughness, high thermal stability, high lifetime and wide application prospects.
