Abstract

To study the changes in haemodynamics of relative orthotopic liver transplantation. Methods The haemodynamical changes in 10 normal controls and 7 patients undergoing relative orthotopic liver transplantation before and after operation were examined by using color Doppler flow imaging (CDFI). Results The hemodynamic characteristics were regularly restored in 1-5 months after operation in 6 cases. The postoperative complications occurred in one case after liver transplantation. If the velocity of hepatic artery was less than 28 cm/s, blood flow fluttered and RI was increased to 0. 78, hepatic arterial thrombosis formed. Conclusions Hepatic haemodynamics can be monitored efficiently by CDFI before and after liver transplantation. The fatal complications can be discovered earlier. Color Doppler ultrasound is very useful for assuring the success of relative orthotopic liver transplantation.
