Abstract

Analyzing poetics metaphorically with Chan is Yan Yu's most important ways to consider poetry,which has caused an argument of several hundred years.This choice of method is an inevitable choice in the late Song Dynasty when the theory of poetry study lacked renewal mechanism,product of the time fashion,and Yan Yu's talent manifestation.He realized the fashion difference between the Tang Dynasty poetry and the Song Dynasty poetry and decided to establish the aim of poetry.
