Abstract

Painting in ancient China has its unique features and aesthetic intentions among different periods. During two Song times,Chinese painting witnessed its heyday.No matter painting or theory,Song Dynasty was much more mature than Tang Dynasty.The artists pay more attention to improve self-cultivation.They put more stress on taste expressed in the painting and little on truthfulness.The artist send ideal in the theme.It emphasizes the creation purpose ofregarding painting as pleasure.
