Abstract

Production wastewater of styrene-butadiene rubber( SBR) was treated by wet hydrogen peroxide oxidation process, the effects of reaction temperature and time, hydrogen peroxide amount and pH value of system on the removal rate of chemical oxygen demand( COD) in the wastewater were investigated, and the treatment results were compared between wet hydrogen peroxide oxidation and Fenton reagent processes. The results showed that under the conditions of atmospheric pressure, hydrogen peroxide amount 4 mL/L( one-step feeding),reaction temperature 95 ℃,stirring speed 600 r/min,reaction time 60 min,pH value 6- 7( pH value of raw water without regulation) for wet hydrogen peroxide oxidation process, the removal rate of COD in SBR production wastewater reached above 67%,the hydrogen peroxide amount was half as many as that of Fenton reagent process at same treatment result, and no secondary pollution occurred.
