Agricultural Funds: Studies on the Chinese Commercial Bank's Agricultural Credit and Its Results in the 1930s

In the 1930 s, affected by the world economic crisis, economic depression and financial depletion occurred in rural China. Nanjing Government tried to support the rural economy and society by Rural Reconstruction Movement. Commercial banks pioneered the agricultural loans, and achieved some success in some rural area. But because of the absence of government management, incorrect method and lower profit, agricultural loans deviated from its original intention, failed to play an important role on improving rural financial development.
