Abstract
Objective To investigate the current problems of medical services in village clinics so as to propose psychological counter-measures. Methods From July to August 2009,and December 10 to 15,2009,the field observation and personal in-depth interview were conducted in the suburbs of Beijing,a total of 42 village doctors of 7 village clinics and 106 villagers were interviewed. Results There was distance between the villagers′ expectations and medical service items and therapeutic effects.The relatively fixed subsidy for village doctor failed to impulse them to work actively.The external environments made their sense of professional safety reduced,and their sense of professional belongingness weakened.The doctors had negatively psychological factors to the current situation of health management and the prevention of diseases.And the changes in disease spectrum of the service objects in rural areas caused multiple needs for medical services. Conclusion The village doctors should raise their multiplied therapeutic means and skills by further improved training contents provided by health departments of the government.Appropriate psychological attention should be given to the rural disadvantaged group influenced under the poor economic conditions.An appropriate atmosphere for village doctors may be improved through system establishment so as to raise the safe professional sense of village doctors.
