Application of Analytic Hierarchy Process in Municipal Solid Waste Disposal Method Selection in Sichuan Province

Abstract

The disposal method of municipal solid waste(MSW) in Sichuan Province was studied by analytic hierarchy process(AHP).Firstly,the hierarchy was built and then the objective items were compared to each other to work out the weight of decision layer to objective layer.As an example,Chengdu was analyzed by AHP which showed that incineration was the best method of MSW disposal in this city.Lastly,a simplified method of AHP worked on MSW disposal method selection in Sichuan was given,and provided referencl for municipal solid waste disposal method.
