Abstract
Foliar feed with 4 concentrations of paclobutrazol(PP_(333))on leaves of Pfaffia paniculala was done to research the biological effectiveness of PP_(333) on Pfaffia. The results showed that the chlorophyll content in leaves of Pfaffia increased obviously under the 4 treatments. The activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD),Peroxidase(POD) and Catalase(CAT ) were increased. The content of malondialdehyde(MDA) decreased. The stress resistance enhanced. The content of bioactive compound saponins didn't changed evidently. The root yield of Pfaffia increased. The research would provide the theoretical basis for the application of PP_(333) on Pfaffia.
