Research on the relationship between perceived school climate and subjective well-being among middle school students

A total of 422 middle school students were investigated with two questionnaires including the junior high school students' perceived school climate inventory and the life satisfaction scales applicable to Chinese adolescent students.The results showed that:in terms of friends satisfaction factor the boys had significantly higher scores than girls;There did exist significant difference between grades in friends satisfaction,freedom satisfaction,relationship between teachers and students,academic pressure,and developmental variety;The scores of dimensions of school climate were significant correlated with dimensions of life satisfaction;Hierarchical regression analysis indicated that the junior high school students' perceived school climate could predict the subjective well-being beyond demographics variables.
