On China's Soft Power Diplomacy toward Africa

Since the founding of People's Republic of China,China's soft power diplomacy toward Africa continues to carry on and develop.At present,China's soft power diplomacy toward Africa not only upholds the traditional principles,but also maintains an appropriate degree of flexibility in the new situation.China's soft power diplomacy has achieved some effects through the following means: respecting African countries and peoples;improving political and cultural values;enhancing the economic attractions and China's role model;actively engaging in multilateral diplomacy and showing China's image of great power;increasing aid to African countries so as to expand cultural and private exchanges,and multi-field,multi-level diplomatic work.In the future,how to further strengthen the soft power building,enhance China's influence in Africa,and shape the rise of China as a responsible power is still an important topic facing China's diplomatic practice in Africa.
