Research on choice and reasonable development of characteristic agricultural industry in poor areas ——A case study of the northwest of Hebei

Based on the theory of competitive advantage, the development of characteristic and advantages agriculture is good for the improve ment of competitive advantage of agriculture in poor areas. In order to target the correct position of the characteristic agriculture and impove the rapid development of agriculture in the northwest of Hebei, according to the basic theory and method of comparative advantage, this paper calculated the index of comparative advantage of wheat, potato, oatmeal, edible fungusin from 2005 to 2010 in the region. The result showed that the most comparative advantage agriculture was the oatmeal, potato, sheep breeding industry and vegetable industry in the northwest of Hebei region compared with the national average. Finally, reasonable position and development strategies of the characteristic and advantages agriculture in the northwest of Hebei were put forward.
