Abstract
The paper studied the conditions of red mud`s leaching by HCl and H_2SO_4. It is an optimum method to leach red mud with acid twice. The first leaching condition is: 6mol/L HCl, the liquid-solid ratio of 4:1, temperature 50℃ and time 1h. The leaching rate of Sc_2O_3 is over 80%, and the leaching rate of TiO_2 is about 1%.The second leaching condition is: 92% H_2SO_4, the acid-sludge ratio of 3:1, temperature 200℃, time 1.5h.The leaching ate of TiO_2 is 96.57%.
