Abstract
The structure,transmission mechanism,and industrial application of axial and spiral grooved barrel single screw extruders were analyzed and compared.Since the current melting scheme did not meet the requirements for the high output of these extruders,some solutions were analyzed in order to enhance the melting ability.The development trend of the grooved barrel single screw extruders was forecast.
