Comparison and Prospect of Testability Models

Abstract

Testability model is the basic and critical factor in the testability simulation,design,analysis and evaluation.Firstly,the background of the testability engineering and testability model is introduced.Secondly,some typical testability models,such as logic model,information flow model,multisignal flow graphs model,structure model and hybrid diagnostic model, are discussed.The elements,correlative software and application of these models are elaborated.The characteristics of these models are compared and analyzed with an active filter/amplifier as an example.Finally,the disadvantages of current testability models are indicated.And the paper points out that introducing virtual prototyping technology into testability modeling field and studying testability-oriented virtual prototype will become the tendency of testability model.Simultaneously the frame of the testability-oriented virtual prototype is presented.
