Abstract

The experiment was carried out from 2003 to 2004 in Taiyuan and Yuci for measuring effect of 5%acetamiprid ME on control of Aphis gossypii in field trials. The results showed that 5% acetamiprid ME with dosagesof 14.1 to 28.1g a.i./ha had an excellent effect to control the aphids. The control effects were 97.4 to 99.9% and 96.5 to 100%in 1 day and 3 to 7 days after spraying treatment respectively, and the persistent effect reached over 7 days. Its controleffect was similar to that by using 10% imidacloprid WP with 30.0g a.i./ha. Therefor, 5% acetamiprid ME was apotential candidate for aphids control.
