Abstract

In the exeperiment, the optimal concentrations of kanamycin and carbenicillin in the selected medium were investigated. The results indicated that the inhibited concentrations of kanamycin of adventitious bud formation of Helianthus annus were 75 mg/L and 100 mg/L,when the carbenicillin was used in the transformation procedure;the concentrations was 300 mg/L when the growth of agrobacterium could be effectively inhibited. At the same time, the induction and growth of adventitious bud were not remarkably injured. The experiment results indicated that both kanamycin and carbenicillin could be selected as bacteriostatic for transforming Helianthus annus into plant.
