Abstract
The present paper expatiates the casting temperature control measures adopted in refining the high carbon steel under the current operating conditions in the No.1 Steel-making Plant.By improvement of the temperature hold conditions at the steel ladle and tundish and by selection of the optimal temperature mode in LF furnace,a consistent and low overheat result can be achieved in the process of casting the high carbon steel at low speed and therefore the carbon segregation in the slab can be effectively reduced.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
