Clinical Features of Patients With Myocardial Bridge

Objective:To investigate the clinical features of patients with myocardial bridge(MB),and to broaden our knowledge of diagnosis and treatment of myocardial bridge.Methods:One hundred and twenty patients were diagnosed as having myocardial bridge by selective coronary angiography.Results:All the patients with myocardial bridge had clinical symptoms such as chest stuffy,chest pain and palpitation.Eighty-Seven patients showed abnormal electrocardiogram with deviation of ST segment.Myocardial bridges were detected on the left anterior descending artery in 114 patients,and on the left circumflex branch only in 6 patients.The majority of the patients were given medication,and only 3 patients were treated with intracoronary stent implantation.One hundred and twenty patients were followed for one year.Symptoms reduced in most of the patients.Conclusion :Myocardial bridge is not rarely found by coronary angiography.Myocardial bridge may cause myocardial ischemic symptoms.Drug therapy is the choice for myocardial bridge patients with symptoms.
