Abstract
Using endo-tetrahydrodicyclopentadiene as raw material and AlCl3 as catalyst ,adamantane was synthesized.The effects of different factors,such as the kinds of co-catalyst and amount used,reaction temperature,reaction time,catalyst and the amount of catalyst used on the yield of adamantane were investigated in a conventional reactor.Optimum reaction conditions were obtained:co-catalyst 2.5% Pt/C;temperature 70 ℃;reaction time 6 h;AlCl3/n(endo-TCD)=0.6,under the optimum condition,the yield of adamantane is up to 88.6%.
