Abstract

The OLAP concept and features is reviewed briefly. The unified dimensional model in SQL Server 2005 is explained. The difference between Microsoft new OLAP and traditional OLAP structural design is studied. By a OLAP practical example based on the enterprise sales data cube, to show the feasibility of design with Microsoft new OLAP concept, and helpful to promptly build a platform of enterprise decision support with it.
