Abstract
[Objective] To discuss the role of T lymphocytes, abdominal macrophages and immune sera in mice systemically infected with Candida albicans respectively.[Methods] 60 health mice were divided, which were carried out the following tests.(1) In vivo:The same germ line mice were given T lymphocytes, abdominal macrophages, immune sera respectively, and then injected with 2×107 CFU / ml Candida cells 0.2 ml through their tail vein. The survival situation of mice was observed.(2) In vitro:The above immunological cell and immune sera were cultivated with 1×105 CFU / ml Candida albicans 0.1 ml respectively and then judged their resistance to Candida albicans according to the colony forming units.[Results](1) The survival rate of mice infected with systemically Candida albicans with adoptive T lymphocytes or macrophage cells was 50% and 60% respectively in 28 days.By contrast, the mice with immune sera and the control group were all deaths.(2) The vitro experiments suggested that abdominal macrophage's bactericidal effect was obvious. The colony forming units which macrophage cells cultivated with Candida albicans were 2.33 ±0.58×104 CFU / ml.It was strikingly smaller than that of control group with 9.33±2.51×104 CFU / ml.However, the colony forming units of immune sera were 76.00±3.60×104 CFU / ml.They were strikingly higher than that of control group.[Conclusion] These results indicate that macrophages play an important role in Candida albicans infection, whereas immune sera have no protection.
