Abstract

Ajax is a new approach to Web application.By it,burden of server is reduced and the problem of white screen caused by refreshing the whole page is solved.ASP.NET AJAX,released by Microsoft recently,is a AJAX development package.It integrates ASP.NET 2.0 and Visual Studio 2005.And it makes adding AJAX functions to ASP.NET 2.0 easy.The paper introduces the framework of ASP.NET AJAX and ways to use it,and takes homepage of chat room and automatic completing function as examples to explain the typical application of ASP.NET AJAX in Web development.
