Abstract

Algorithm of the coarse-mesh finite difference(CMFD) accelerated nodal method was improved. The matrix can be simplified to fourth-order equation when solving the two nodes problems. The formulas are induced for calculating the net interface current difference between two sides of every node, and then the net neutron current of every node can be calculated by using the formulas with the known interface current of the first nodal boundary. The improved algorithm reduces the computing time of the nodal method.
