Abstract
Drilling in formations with high concentration of hydrogen sulfide requires a fast detection of hy drogen sulfide to minimize the risk of this lethal gas.A method was established through laboratory studies to fast and accurately detect the hydrogen sulfide concentration in drilling fluids.This method,by elimina ring the disturbance from sulfites and sulfur dioxide,greatly improved the accuracy of the detection,and can be used in laboratory and field detection of hydrogen sulfide.
