Abstract
Objective To investigate the mechanism of atrial fibrillation(AF) in non-adult patients and the impact of catheter ablation.Methods Two patients under 18 years old with AF underwent circumferential pulmonary vein ablation guided by CARTO and mapped by Lasso.Results The first one suffered from paroxysmal AF,left pulmonary veins were identified to be the target lesions and isolated successfully.In the ablating procedures of the second one with persistent AF,the frequency of atrial wave in coronary sinus gradually decreased and AF was converted to sinus rhythm after all pulmonary veins isolated.No AF recurred during 3 months and half,one month of follow-up respective.Conclusions AF in the two cases of non-adult patients originated from pulmonary veins and could be treated successfully by radiofrequency ablation.
