Abstract
This paper analyses the main methods of surface reconstruction in reverse engineering on the basis of reverse engineering and rapid prototyping technologies. Unigraphics software is employed to reconstruct the 3D solid model of the data sets of 3D points gained by 3D scanning, then the solid model is transformed to STL surface model needed by rapid prototyping. The rapid prototype is fabricated by LOM, and then combined with plaster casting process, the metal parts/mould is casted finally.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
