Significance of Life Interpreted in Virginia Woolf's Novels

Abstract

Virginia Woolf, a writer of lifelong pursuit of artistical innovatiovn, introduces poetic and dramatic methods into novel writing and culminates the stream of consciousness under the impact of Joyce and Proust. Despite the formal changes, she developes the unchangeable theme throughout her novels-the theme to which she gives her answer as moment of being and presents in her works the perfect interpretation of her understanding towards the meaning of life.
