Treatment of earlobe scar with triamcinolone acetonide injection

Abstract
Objective To summarize the experience for treatment of earlobe scar with Triamcinolone Acetonide injection.Methods Nineteen patients with earlobe scar were treated by Triamcinolone Acetonide injection.In each injection,(0.1) to(0.2) ml of Triamcinolone Acetonide was injected into earlobe scar,twice a month,total 6 to 7 times.3 to 4 months later the scar tissue became loose,if not,additional injections were needed.Results All 19 patients had satisfy curative effect after 6 to 7 times of Triamcinolone Acetonide injection.Conclusion Triamcinolone acetonide injection is a very good option for the treatment of earlobe scar,which avoid new scar formation that may happen during the treatment with surgery,laser,and microwave.
