Abstract
In this paper,we describe a double-wire photon beam position monitor(PBPM) for monitoring synchrotron radiation(SR) intensity by photosensitive wire based on the principle of photoemission. In scan mode, the SR intensity distribution can be easily obtained. In the static state,we can realize real-time monitoring of the SR beam position by changes of the photoelectron currents of the two wire sensors. The principle, design, parametric optimization, error analysis, and its application in Beijing Synchrotron Radiation Facility(BSRF) are given.
