Abstract

The SBR process was used to treat artificial synthetic wastewater,and the effects of influent COD,ammonia nitrogen,C/N ratio and aerobic time on induction for enhanced biological phosphorus removal without anaerobic phase were investigated.The SBR with anaerobic phosphorus release and aerobic phosphorus uptake is operated in A/O mode.When the sodium acetate is used as carbon source,and the influent COD,ammonia nitrogen and C/N ratio are 100 mg/L,5 mg/L and 20 respectively,the aerobic phosphorus uptake does not disappear after shortening the anaerobic time and maintaining the aerobic time at 135 min.However,the phosphorus uptake rate is slightly decreased.Phosphorus removal is able to occur due to the induction of microorganisms.
