Abstract
The five basic bisnuclear functional ionic liquids with an imidazolium structure were synthesized by imidazole and dibromo alkanes. They were used as catalysts for the aldehyde and cyano compounds in the knoevenagel condensation reaction, and the catalytic properties were investigated. The results indicated that the basic bisnuclear functional ionic liquids had good catalytic performances in the Knoevenagel condensation. The condensation reaction reactivity between catalytic furfural of ion liquid bis-(3-methyl-l-imidazolium-) -butylene dihydroxide and Knoevenagel was the best one,and its yield of product was 93.2%.In general bis-(3-methyl-l-imidazolium-)-hexylidene dihydroxide performed the better catalytic effect in the four groups of aldehydes and cyano compounds in Knoevenagel condensation.
