Abstract
Different adsorption resins were investigated for their potential application in treating leachate effluent from aged refuse biofilter. At the COD concentration of 236.77 mg/L,four adsorbent resins including AG MP-1,XAD -8,XAD-4 and NDA-150,could remove COD of 29.8%,25.5%,55.2%,and 69.0%,respectively.Among the four resins,NDA-150 presented the best adsorption behavior, leading to a COD of leachate lower than 100 mg/L in 20 h.Temperature may not influence adsorption effect of NDA-150 significantly.Pseudo-second-order model successfully fits the kinetic adsorption, and the adsorption is controlled by the diffusion process.
