Abstract
In universities,table tennis has become one of the popular students loved sports,students in table tennis elective course have high enthusiasm.In recent years,the competition mechanism of teaching has obtained the application in college table tennis elective course,competition mechanism can make the teacher master student learning and targeted teaching,to a certain extent,also can learn to stimulate the enthusiasm of the students,improve the students' table tennis skills,can also enrich the students' knowledge and improve students' appreciate and referee ability.According to the survey results,the teaching mode of the competition mechanism in college table tennis elective course has a certain value to improve the quality of teaching.
