Historical Analysis on "Man and Nature in One" and Modernity Transformation

The idea of Man and Nature in One was the basic understanding of the relation between man and nature of Chinese thinkers in the ancient times,which advocated following the natural law to realize the harmonious development between man and nature.It contained abundant ecological wisdom and was consistent with some environment values of modern ecology.But it was different from Man and Nature in Harmony of today, for it overemphasized the unification,neglected the difference and contradiction,weakened human practicality.The age of economical globalization requires the ways of modernity transformation,which can guide harmonious development between economical development and environmental protection,reconstruct the relation between man and nature,raise the moral responsibility consciousness,as well as the scientific practice,which is also beneficial for modern ecological ethics and sustainable development.
