Abstract

To research the oxidation capacity of UV/Fenton oxidation process in treating non-degradable organic pollutant of nitrobenzene, and make sure the technological conditions of applying UV/Fenton oxidation process in nitrobenzene containing wastewater, the study aims at nitrobenzene water sample made in lab, adopting a self-made photo-reactor to analyze the effects of reaction condition such as the dosage of H_2O_2,Fe~(2+) mass concentration, reaction time,pH,initial nitrobenzene mass concentration in treating nitrobenzene wastewater by UV/Fenton oxidation process. The research result shows that UV/Fenton oxidation has a high decrease rate and reaction rate, and the decrease rate of nitrobenzene can reach 95%.The dosage of H_2O_2,Fe~(2+) mass concentration, reaction time,pH,initial nitrobenzene mass concentration exercise greatly influence on treatment effect. When the concentration of nitrobenzene is less than 200?mg/L,UV/Fenton oxidation process has a good effect on disposing nitrobenzene, the optimum reaction conditions were as follow:H_2O_2dosage is 1.5 times of the theoretic H_2O_2 dosage;the rate of Fe~(2+) to H_2O_2 mol is 1:30;pH is about 4;reaction time is 50 minutes.
