Abstract
The paper introduced the craft principle of remove the gossypol to the cottonseed using the hot alkaline process method and the experiment research of the gossypol to the cottonseed. The optimum result came from the using of hot alkaline process. After orthogonal experiment the optimum condition was obtained that pH is 8~9, temperature is 60℃, time is 3 h, and the final gossypol content of aqueous cottonseed protein was 12×10~(-6), this content was much lower than the standard of free gossypol content of edible cottonseed protein stipulated by UNCC.
