Abstract

Objective To evaluate the influence of problem-based nursing intervention on the recovery and quality of life in patients after total hip arthroplasty, and to investigate establishing nursing intervention mode to promote recovery. Methods 100 patients underwent total hip arthroplasty and were divided into two groups randomly Group Ⅰ(Conventional nursing intervention group) and Group Ⅱ(Problem-based nursing intervention group).Ability of daily life, muscle strength, articular movement, hospital stay and incidence of complication were observed.Perioperative frequently asked questions were investigated and perfect target nursing mode was established using evidence-based medicine. Results Life quality score and Harthel index of 21 days and 3 months after operation were higher in group Ⅱ.The satisfaction rate, recovery of muscle strength and articular movement in group Ⅱ were better than that in groupⅠ.Hospital stay of patients in group Ⅱ was shorter than that in group Ⅰ. Conclusion Establishing problem-based nursing intervention mode with evidence-based medicine is helpful in reducing complication, promoting recovery and improve quality of life in patients after total hip arthroplasty.
