Abstract
The main features of creation of Edgar Allen Poe's poem—The Bells—is analyzed from the perspective of stylistics.Four aspects of the poem reflect the unique achievement on stylistics: the use of repetition and onomatopoeia in this poem added to the beauty of language;the rigorous choice of words and sentences and the grasp of the profound meaning of the words make the poem has more cultural depth;the flexible syntactic form reasonably reflects the situation of the poem to express emotion;and the harmonious discourse structure reflects the theme of poem and the creative intent of the poet.
