A Study of Frontier Poetry of Piling Poetic School in the Qing Dynasty

Abstract

Piling school of poetry is a regional poetic school prosperous in Changzhou in the Qing Dynasty.Some Piling poets created many remarkable frontier poems on northwest regions,represented by Hong Liangji,and frontier poems on the northern and southwest areas,represented by Zhaoyi,Xu Shushou,Yanglun and etc.These frontier poetry of Piling school greatly enriched the entire frontier poetry in the Qing Dynasty with its more vast territory.It also reflected more exotic customs and true feelings of the ordinary people.
