Abstract

According to the characteristic of machine tool fixture design,a process of SolidWorks applying in 3-dimentional(3D) computer aided design was introduced and the structure of a 3D computer aided fixture design(CAFD) system was established.Througn the application of a 3D parts database,which was established by the pro-development in SolidWorks,and a process of establishing assembly of fixture parts in SolidWorks,fixture designers could easily improve the quality and efficiency of the fixture design.
