Abstract
The numerical simulation of the three-dimensional turbulent flow cavitation in the IS100-65-200 centrifugal pump is conducted based on the mixed model with two-phase flow. The distribution of pressure, cavitation location and bubble volume fraction in flow channel and the cavitation effects on external characteristics are analyzed. The results show that the pump has a good performance of anti-cavitation and there is unobvious effect of cavitation on external characteristics under all operating conditions in this research. The numerical simulation results are in good agreement with the experimental data, which validates the numerical simulation method for cavitation behavior of centrifugal pumps proposed in this paper.
