Abstract

The ancient village plays an important role in the rural tourism, but the existing ones have been damaged or changed more or less due to historical reasons and they are also facing the development pressure as some of the traditional folk arts and folk customs are gradually fading out of people's life along with the era. The development of rural tourism on ancient villages on the one hand is of positive significance in the protection of ancient villages since it gives people a new awareness of their value, but on the other hand the development of tourism will also bring new threats to ancient villages. With the case study of Longchuan Village of jixi, Anhui Province, how to protect ancient villages and how to combine the protection and tourism are analyzed and discussed in this paper.
